CUSTOM.KSI Data
File
(released January
2, 1996)
Keystone Systems has developed a new method of implementing
special options and unique program features within ABS, in addition
to the Special Options contained in the Master Directory.
This new method of implementing special code and features is
activated via the existence of the ASCII data file CUSTOM.KSI.
This file, if present, must be in your home drive and directory
\ABS\DATA. All future ABS programs will check for the existence
of this file. The CUSTOM.KSI file contains an option
number, reply, and a description of the option. For example:

Keystone will utilize this method of implementing special code
and features when:
- The feature has been determined to have little or no value
to other clients;
- The feature only affects one or two actual ABS programs;
- The feature is not confidential or proprietary.
The major reason for developing this method is to reduce the
cost and complexity of maintaining special client code. No newsletter
or technical announcement will be published, since it has been
determined that this feature has little or no value to other clients.
There may or may not be further documentation available for
each custom option. If documentation is available, the documentation
file will be CUSTnn.DOC (where nn is the option
number).
Caution should be exercised before activating any of these
custom features, as the feature may require additional help and/or
message screens to function properly.
Support and maintenance of these options is not included in
the standard maintenance fees.
